Terms of Service

Last updated · 15 October 2026

These terms cover your use of The POD Builder. Please read them — they are short on purpose.

What The POD Builder does

The POD Builder helps you make videos — video podcasts, films for a business, freestyle films and films based on a reference video — with a co-director that helps you write them, and lets you edit and download the result. It connects to no social network account and puts nothing online for you: what happens to a film after you download it is up to you.

Your account and your workspace

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us at support@thepodbuilder.com if you think someone else has access.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. If you use The POD Builder for a business, you must be entitled to act for it. A workspace's owner decides who is a member of it.

Faces, voices and consent

You may upload a person's photo or voice only if you have the right to use it and that person has agreed. The POD Builder asks you to confirm that agreement before a photo reaches an image or video model and before a voice is cloned, and records your confirmation. Confirming it when it is not true breaks these terms.

The POD Builder never puts a person who has not consented into a film, including by swapping them into a reference video.

Your content

What you upload stays yours. What The POD Builder makes for you is yours to use.

You give us permission to process your material only so far as is needed to run the service for you — storing it, sending it to the models that make your film, and showing it back to you.

You are responsible for the films you download and for what you do with them, including having the rights to any music, video or picture you bring in.

Credits and subscription

The POD Builder works with a subscription and a credit wallet. Work that costs money costs credits, and its price is shown before you start it. Credits are held when a run starts and settled exactly when it finishes; work that fails is not charged, and neither is a clip our own checks refuse. A retake you ask for is charged.

Credits you buy never expire. Credits included with a subscription are renewed with each billing period, and unused ones do not carry over. Credits have no cash value and are not refundable in cash. Payments are handled by Whop, whose terms apply to them.

What we ask of you

Do not use The POD Builder to make content that is unlawful, that harasses or deceives people, or that infringes someone else's rights. In particular, do not make videos of a real person who has not agreed, do not pass a video off as a real person's words or acts to mislead anyone, and do not make anything sexual involving a minor or anything that puts a minor at risk. Do not attempt to break, probe or overload the service, and do not resell it as your own.

What we cannot promise

The POD Builder uses AI models, and models make mistakes. A script, a picture, a voice or a clip can be wrong, awkward or unsuitable. Watch and check what you download before you use it.

We aim to keep the service available but cannot promise it never breaks. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.

Ending it

You can stop using The POD Builder and ask for your account to be deleted whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why.

Law

These terms are governed by French law, and the courts of France have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by contract.

Changes

We will tell you before these terms change in a way that matters.
